The Crime Writers' Association

The challenge

Sometimes associations need to hand over the management of their business affairs quickly. The Crime Writers’ Association (CWA) is a prime example of this, where CJAM was asked to take the administrative reins within the space of three weeks.

The work

The bedding-in process was speedily achieved and the full secretariat service up and running in the required timeframe. A member database was designed and implemented allowing much closer and informed contact with the 800 members spread across the UK.

CJAM took over the management of The CWA’s annual Dagger Awards Gala Dinner 2016 arrangements, designing the programme and presentation. It was their most attended ceremony ever with 230 guests, receiving glowing feedback. For 2017 the guest list grew to 243 and programme costs were covered through advertising.

Developing a strong client/agency relationship, CJAM is now deeply embedded in leading on many aspects of the association’s day to day administration.
