TAF Incorporated Launched by Heseltine

The Trade Association Forum (TAF) has now incorporated and the official launch was celebrated at the House of Lords on Thursday 3rd April. The decision to incorporate was taken by the Forum’s Steering Group subsequent to the Heseltine Review ‘No Stone Left Unturned in Pursuit of Growth’, and so TAF has flown the nest of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), under whose wing TAF was originally formed.

The Rt Hon. Lord Heseltine led the festivities for the official launch. Some 150 members and VIPs were in attendance to help celebrate our bright new future.TAF has also now moved premises and will be operating out of the Capital Tower, 91 Waterloo Road, London SE1.

The Rt Hon Lord Heseltine, said “Our Trade Associations face huge challenges. I welcome the development of the Trade Association Forum. There are too many overlapping organisations, too little resource and too limited an ambition. I wish the Forum well and hope it will seek to raise our game. This is a good moment as a more optimistic economic mood creates a background for an expanding economy.”

Linda Cavender, Manager, said “The Forum has developed enormously since its inception and is recognised as the lead body for the Trade Association sector. I have no doubt that these latest changes will be of great benefit to our members and will enable the Trade Association Forum Ltd. to offer a more streamlined and efficient service to all, as well as giving us an excellent opportunity to expand our portfolio of activities.”

Isabel Martinson, TAF Chairman, said “This is a very exciting time in the ongoing development of the Trade Association Forum, as we consolidate its position as the voice of the Trade Association sector and the lead body for recognising excellence. We look forward to providing our members with even greater support and enhanced opportunities to share views and best practice for the benefit of their own members.”
