Membership Sector “Proceeding with Caution”

The latest PKF Littlejohn Survey on the membership sector, “Proceeding with Caution”, has just been released.
Some of the statistics quoted in the PKF Littlejohn report might best be described as sobering. For instance, the report questions the sustainability of existing membership packages. No organisation surveyed had raised their fees for a comparable year-on-year package of services in two years! In 2015, 26% of organisations surveyed claimed to offer more services for the same fee whilst 41% reported no change in fees or services offered.

Flintoff to head Professional Cricketers Association

Former England skipper Andrew Flintoff has been named the new president of the Professional Cricketers’ Association. The 38-year-old, elected at the PCA’s annual general meeting held in Birmingham on Tuesday, will succeed fellow Lancastrian and ex-England player and coach David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd.

New CEO at British Equestrian Federation

Clare Salmon has been appointed as the new chief executive of the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Salmon’s new role starts in June when she replaces Andrew Finding, who is retiring after 17 years with the BEF. The BEF is the national governing body for equestrian sports in Great Britain representing nineteen member organisations and more than four million riders.
