Liverpool Commonwealth Association bids to boost trading links
The Liverpool Commonwealth Association will be officially launched next week in a bid to strengthen trading links between the city and UK Commonwealth countries.It will hope to emulate a similar scheme launched in Birmingham, and has received the backing of The Queen.
In a letter, Her Majesty says: “I am delighted to learn that the aim is to link the diaspora communities within Liverpool with their country of origin in order to encourage trade, educational and cultural links.”
