UK solar and renewable energy associations go separate ways

The associations, which became affiliated in 2011, will again become independent next year. The groups say the move will allow them to focus on their core strengths.While the STA and REA have split, they say they will continue to work together “towards the common goal of mainstreaming renewable energy.”

Britain’s Renewable Energy Association and Solar Trade Association are breaking up.

The organizations said on Monday that they would end their formal affiliation on January 1.
