Lawn Tennis Association appoint Peter Keen as interim head of performance
As the euphoria of Great Britain’s Davis Cup triumph last weekend begins to subside, the Lawn Tennis Association yesterday brought in a new head of performance in Peter Keen, the former head of British cycling. The appointment, how-ever, is only on an interim basis.
The official position is that Michael Downey, the LTA chief executive, has decided to halt the recruitment process so that people tied to their current positions until the Rio Olympics can come into play. In practice, though, it may be that Keen is being given a 12-month opportunity to show what he can do.
